IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Minister Carolyn
Jean Ball Armstrong
September 13, 1953 – October 10, 2025
Minister Carolyn Jean Ball Armstrong was called home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2025. She was a devoted woman of faith, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true servant of God.
Born on September 13, 1953, in Andalusia, Alabama, to the late Tommy Parmer and Willi Lee Ball, Carolyn's life was one marked by faith, love, and dedication. Affectionately known to family and friends as "Nanny," she touched countless hearts through her testimony and unwavering faith in the Lord. Her strength and devotion guided her through every season of life, and she taught her family to always trust in God's plan.
Minister Armstrong was a faithful and dedicated member of Faith Deliverance Apostolic Church, where she served the Lord with humility and grace.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Horace Aaron Armstrong; her dear sister, Edith Marie Matthews; her niece, Theresa Ann Matthews; and her precious great-grandson, Nehemiah Jaylen Armstrong.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Adrain Ball Armstrong of Hammond, IN; three daughters, Sherell (Chancee) Wilson of Smyrna, GA, Nichauka (Sherman) Lane of Daleville, AL, and Alexis Armstrong of Hampton, VA; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, James (Louise) Ball of Florala, AL, Steve (Marilyn) Parmer of Detroit, MI and William Parmer of Milton, FL; and one sister, Beverly Parmer of Detroit, MI.
She also shared a special bond with her nieces and nephews: Darlene (Donnie) Moore of Fayetteville, NC; Edith Lafaye (Cortez) Moore of Florala, AL; Lacrecia Latae Matthews of Jacksonville, FL; Clinton Matthews of Florala, AL; and Clifford (Beverly) Matthews of McDonough, GA.
Minister Armstrong will be lovingly remembered by her aunt, Lillian Matthews of Crestview, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Her life was a shining example of faith and love—a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
