Elizabeth
Smith
May 26, 1954 – February 24, 2026
Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, a loving mother, sister, and friend, transitioned peacefully from this life, leaving behind a legacy filled with joy, kindness, and beautiful memories. Born on May 26,1954, in Headland, Alabama, to the late Willie C. Smith and Sarah Fleming, Elizabeth lived her life with strength, grace, and an infectious smile that brightened every room she entered.
Elizabeth pursued her passion for beauty at Wallace Community College, where she studied Cosmetology. She later dedicated 15 years to Sony and 5 years to Warners, where her warm spirit and reliable work ethic made her a beloved member of both workplaces.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Teneeshia (Michael) Carter, Aleeshia Fryer (Paul Coleman), and Bernard (Angela) Bishop; her devoted sibling Carolyn Thornton; and her caring partner, JB Thomas. She is also survived by cherished family members, Qudazya Thomas, Kyana Carter, Michael J. Carter, Paul B. Coleman, Zakairrus Coleman, and Monika Thomas, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her niece, Tawanda Smith Gray, also remains among those who lovingly remember her.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loved ones: Mary Smith, Janice Smith, Joe Smith, and Bubba Smith.
Elizabeth embraced life with joy. She loved cosmetology, enjoyed playing bingo, and found comfort and happiness in music. Whether she was styling someone’s hair, sharing a laugh, or listening to her favorite songs, she lived each day with warmth and a giving heart. Her memory will forever live on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
