Ms. Christelia Shanta Powell, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, departed this life at the age of 37 and went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Christelia was born to Angela Powell and Gregory Leon Porter on November 25, 1988, in Abbeville, Alabama. She attended Abbeville High School where she was a member of the Class of 2007. Christelia was employed by Wayne's Farm where she was known as one of the best Line Leaders they ever had.

Christelia was a loving, caring, and amazing person who had a heart of gold. She also had a "Sassy Attitude" that everyone loved so much about her. Christelia loved spending time with her family, enjoyed music, and had a deep love for the beach. If you asked her where she wanted to go, she would definitely tell you the beach because she loved getting in the water. Christelia's happy, loving, and sassy spirit will be cherished and missed by so many.

Christelia was preceded in death by her grandparents: Otis Powell Jr., Christeen Powell, and Billy Porter.

Christelia leaves to cherish her loving memories: her loving and devoted mother, Angela (Bernard) Bishop of Samson, Alabama; her father, Gregory Leon Porter of Abbeville, Alabama; her fiancé, Andre Turner of Abbeville, Alabama; three sisters, Ericka M. Porter of Alexander City, Alabama, Caseria Porter (DaShown) of Abbeville, Alabama, and her bonus sister, Qudazya Thomas of Dothan, Alabama; one brother, Gregory Leon Porter Jr. of Columbus, Georgia; her grandmother, Louise Porter of Abbeville, Alabama; one niece, DaKota Carter; one nephew, Tembekile Wyckoff Jr.; her bonus daughter, Coryn Turner of Abbeville, Alabama; her mother-in-love, Robbie Turner of Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
